The Craig Manor Hotel in Bowness nestles on the brow of a hill overlooking Lake Windermere Langdale Pikes and surrounding mountains in the English Lake District. Just a short stroll from the front door is the village of Bowness with its pubs shops cafes and museum. Guests can walk to the lake shore and maybe take a cruise to nearby Ambleside. Hotel Directions Travelling to Windermere on the M6 take exit 36 onto the A590 signposted to South Lakes and Kendal. Do not take the left turn to Barrow but continue on the A591 to Windermere. At the roundabout follow signs to Windermere on the A591. Turn left through Windermere at the Windermere Hotel and follow the one way system through the village and on to Bowness. You will pass Windermere Magistrates Court on your left and you will see the hotel on the right just after this. The hotel car park is at the rear under the archway you may wish to unload your luggage at the front door. |
